Belle Plaine’s crown jewel and nationally known Bartlett Arboretum is home to massive cypress, oaks, Japanese maples and State Champion Trees. For over 100 years it has drawn visitors from across the United States and around the world to be inspired by this unique and unlikely sanctuary on the plains. The Arboretum is now listed on the National Registry of Historic Places and hosts several events throughout the year including Art in the Arb and Tree House Concert Series.

Since 1986, Belle Plaine, Ks welcomes thousands of visitors the second week of April. Experience 2 days of live entertainment and family fun at our downtown Spring Festival. As the largest festival in Sumner county, we offer activities for every age including arboretum tour of 30,000 tulips, athletic competitions, Bingo, BPQ Cook Off, a Car and Bike show with over 100 vintage vehicles, a carnival, contests, festival food, helicopter rides, Kids Fest, a parade, street dance, talent show and a variety of live entertainment.
