Belle Plaine’s crown jewel and nationally known Bartlett Arboretum is home to massive cypress, oaks, Japanese maples and State Champion Trees. For over 100 years it has drawn visitors from across the United States and around the world to be inspired by this unique and unlikely sanctuary on the plains. The Arboretum is now listed on the National Registry of Historic Places and hosts several events throughout the year including Art in the Arb and Tree House Concert Series.

Belle Plaine Historical Museum is located at 204 West 5th Street and is open the 2nd Monday from 6-8 p.m., the 4th Saturday from 10 a.m. – noon and by appointment.
